About

This blog is intended to track my adventures in gardening in the Renton, WA - the Southwest part of Puget Sound.

In the Northwest, we have a strange soil make up, which is attributed to the constant rain. Because of this, most of the minerals that we attribute to bountiful gardens are washed away through the course of our 9 months of continuous downpour. What remains is a soil that is rich in root and stalk building Potassium, but leached of Nitrogren, which helps grow bigger and healthier fruits.

Regardless of the science aspect, the goal of this blog is to watch my garden go from a desolate patch of frozen dirt to a robust garden - or from seed to finish
